Evan Almighty
July 23, 2007I accompanied my lovely wife and son to the movie theater Saturday afternoon to catch a matinee of Evan Almighty. All of the reviews I have read have been pretty good so I took the plunge. Knowing that Steve Carell can be a some what crude on “The Office” I was not sure what to really expect. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the pro-family and pro-God message that held fairly strong through the movie.
I thought the acting, comedic timing and plot all deserved hight marks for performance, comedy and originality. If you have not had a chance to see the movie yet, you might hurry since it has already been out several weeks. Or if you do not have a chance to hit the movie house in the next week or two then go ahead and stick it on your Netflix list. If you need a professional review, I always send folks over to Plugged In.
After it is all said and done, I thought the movie was well done with the exception of a few crude animal animal parts - but what’s Noah’s ark with animals. So without further adieu, I give the movie 4 out of 5 penguins.
